Message from the Founder

Tradition is not something to be preserved in the past.
It is something that evolves and lives on with the times.

Tatamiberi is one such tradition. Once a familiar part of everyday life in Japan, this woven trim used in tatami flooring has quietly faded from modern consciousness.

But rather than preserving it unchanged, I believe in reconstructing tradition—reshaping it to fit today’s lifestyle, and reimagining it with designs that resonate with contemporary aesthetics.

This is my vision of living tradition:
not static, but evolving.
Not forgotten, but reborn.

Even small traditions hold a quiet but undeniable power.
Through Hashi*co, I am committed to passing that power forward—to the present, and to the future—through design, craft, and connection.
