Thank you for your interest in Japanese culture and in discovering the artistry of tatami mat edges! Here, we invite you to create handcrafted items using traditional tatami mat edges—a rare and meaningful craft that few have experienced.
Our classes are by appointment only, providing you a private, relaxed space to focus on your creation. Located conveniently in Chuo-ku, Osaka, our studio is a short walk from Nagahori-bashi, Matsuya-machi, Nippon-bashi, and Shinsai-bashi stations.
Our instructor, Ayumi Kobashi, founder of the Tatami-beri Craft Association, has extensive experience in handmade crafts and leads a team of certified instructors. In our workshops, you’ll craft without sewing, making it accessible to beginners and enjoyable for all ages. Even children can participate, creating a memorable experience for families.
